Bingham Farms, Mich. (July 6, 2009) – Paul W. Santoro has been elected to serve as the 2009-2010 fiscal year President-Elect of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).  He will then continue on as the 2010-2011 fiscal year AANA President. 

Paul Santoro is the founder and President of Anesthesia Staffing Consultants, Inc., a Joint Commission certified anesthesia staffing and consulting company, who has been recognized as one of 2009’s “Michigan 50 Companies to Watch”.  He is also a principal owner of Midwest Anesthesia Consultants, LLC, an anesthesia billing company. 

Paul has previously served as the AANA Vice President, Treasurer, Region 3 Director, and on numerous AANA committees.  He is also a past President of the Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists.  Santoro was a 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Great Lakes Region finalist. 

Paul is honored to be elected by his colleagues to serve as AANA President-Elect and looks forward to the challenges that await him.
